The PLANTATION
Turning off the southern highway join the red road which leads you to Placencia. Make sure you take the right fork or you will end up in a banana plantation (which actually is very interesting) .
At the most northerly part of the peninsula is the village of Riversdale. Mainly this could be described as a fishing village as the main families here rely on fishing and diving as their livelihood. There is a small hotel restaurant and bar...............Lost Reef.which for residents in Plantation is a very relaxed local for meeting friends.
Just south of Riversdale is the area now called the Plantation. This is a development with residential housing , condominions , hotels..........
THE PLACENCIA and BELLA MAYA
We have some very attractive beachfront properties in the area. Some of the ones you will see are in a 5 minute beach walk from the Placencia .There are several top class restaurants at these resorts and the facilities offered are superb.and casual fare is also available.
